Stunning views from rooms, Cozy and inviting decor, Basic kitchenette facilities
Cleanliness was seriously lacking throughout—especially in the bathrooms!!! The check-in process was completely unclear, leading to unnecessary stress upon arrival!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Waverley. The location was fantastic, right near the beach, making it easy to take walks by the sea. The ground floor double room had a lovely sea view. It was clean, tidy, and had enough space for our travel cot. The bed was comfy, which was great after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was excellent, especially the full English with nice sausages. I noticed a few issues. The bathroom could use better maintenance. Some areas felt a bit neglected, like the dusty corners and stained furniture. the staff could have been more attentive. we had a minor issue with the shower that wasn’t addressed promptly.

Just a decent option for a weekend escape in Southend-on-Sea with exceptional value. I appreciated the breakfast "to go" when I had to leave early. Consider walking to the beach, it’s just across the road.

Awesome family vibes
Had a lovely 2-night stay with my family. Cheryl and Steve felt like family, super friendly! The room was clean, and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast each morning. A little noisy at times outside, but nothing too crazy. Can't wait to come back!

A Mixed Bag Experience
My stay was marred by unexpected fees and confusion. the staff's efforts to accommodate us with breakfast offerings were commendable. I appreciated the quick service at the on-site café, making it a convenient pit stop for our family before exploring Southend-on-Sea. Just double-check fees.

Oh mate, the smoked meats were a proper delight! Add to that the nearby Gold Coast Chinese Restaurant just a hop away—who knew dim sum could taste like a piece of heaven? Plus, the ocean views at Roslin Beach Hotel Restaurant were sheer perfection.
Just keep your eyes peeled, and you’ll still be feasting on that glorious grub!

missingWrote a review on 03 Juncozy decorlocal pubscleanliness issues
The proximity to local pubs and the beach offers a nice diversion, perfect for a night out or a day under the sun. Cozy and inviting decor in the guest rooms adds a touch of home that could catch anyone's fancy.
The overall cleanliness of the rooms left a lot to be desired, with noticeable stains on linens and a general unkempt appearance throughout. The shared bathroom facilities encountered issues, such as poor maintenance and unpleasant odors that didn't match the expectations based on the rate charged. Noise from neighboring rooms was troublesome, disrupting the peace during the night. Breakfast had its share of disappointments, with reports of undercooked options and unappetizing presentations.
